Hello,

Can someone kindly briefly discuss the positives and negatives associated with hosting my landing pages on my corporate website's domain as sub-domains? For instance, www.mycorporatewebsite.com and www.mycorporatewebsite.com/mortgages, etc.

There are a number of variables. Hosting the page on your corporate domain can help with branding and credibility when a user lands on the LP. They check the domain, and see that everything is legit and are more apt to trust the site.

However, if you're LPs are mostly identical, you can get pinged from search engines for having duplicate content on your site. Depending on your method of promotion of the LPs, you may not want that traffic associated with your corporate site as well.

Many times LPs are very specific to a particular campaign, so the corporate domain may be too generic for the campaign. A specific domain that calls out the niche will work better, and be more likely to convert your traffic.

So it depends on how you're promoting it, the number of LPs you're going to host, and other details for what will work best for you.
